Away-Break Flat & Main Hall

Designed for an affordable Away Break for a disabled person and carer, or family, the flat comprises...

One Bedroom: with one double bed, one single bed with electric raise/lower facility and electric under-blanket, bed linen provided, storage drawers, wall hooks. An electric hoist is available.

Living room/kitchen: electric fires, wood burner, comfortable settee and easy chairs, TV, organ.
Dining table and chairs, storage cupboards, electric cooker, kettle, microwave, fridge, cooking pans and utensils, sufficient crockery and cutlery for 6, tea-towels, 3 canvas fold-up chairs for (outside.)

Bathroom: new walk-in shower designed to accommodate wheelchair, high level toilet, electric hoist, towels provided.

The flat is self-contained with a separate entrance. Double doors lead through to the main hall so that the flat may be used in conjunction with a large group.

The library is in the main hall is available to clients (by prior arrangements if the hall is in use.)

The Main Hall: provides a huge bright indoor space. The building was originally constructed to house a private collection of stuffed birds.
The building is now fully renovated with new roof lights and flooring. There is seating for up to a100 people as well as a small kitchen and specially designed toilets and showers for people with disabilities.
