Description of Location

The Warden’s Trust Centre is located in a private estate adjacent to the beach between Sizewell and Thorpeness on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Getting to us

From the A12 take the turning for Saxmundham. From Saxmundham travel to Leiston and then follow the road for Sizewell. 600 m before Sizewell take the right turn to Sizewell Hall. Pass Sizewell Hall on a rough track and follow the signs for Wardens.

Surrounding Area Description

The outside recreational area covers 4.5 fenced acres immediately adjoining the main hall and has direct access to the coastal footpath, foreshore and private land, paths and bridleways.
The shingle beach is constantly changing, sometimes building, sometimes eroding. Whist the beach is mainly shingle there are patches of sand. The beach is accessed by a steep sandy path that heads down 50 metres through the dunes.
A barbeque/picnic area is provided with seats and tables; a water standpipe and electric floodlighting makes this an ideal campsite amidst mature trees and shrubs.
